Colombo-centric ‘State within State’ is model envisaged for the island

[TamilNet, Saturday, 25 July 2015, 23:52 GMT]
Similar to Bangkok being different from Thailand, a separate State in disguise at Colombo, which will be different from the rest of the island, and which for all practical purposes will wield the real power and control over all economic, military and political matters of the rest of the island, is the ‘devolution’ model envisaged by the ultimate culprits, commented Tamil activists for alternative politics in the island, citing the ‘election’ manifesto coming from Colombo. All the Colombo-centric Sinhalese, Eezham Tamils, Muslims, Up-country Tamils and the diaspora invested in Colombo, will be lured into the model for their vested interests. Whenever the model finds ‘difficulties,’ the lascarine Sinhala military will be used, as it often happens in Thailand, the activists further said.

The ‘State within State’ model envisaged, and is actively in progress in the Western Province, will also serve as a springboard for outside economic infiltration into India, using the ‘free trade’ agreement India signed with Colombo to woo it, the activists said citing recent media reports.

Becoming increasingly paranoid over the discredit faced everywhere, and in response becoming increasingly crude and unscrupulous over their military-corporate interests, what the USA and allies have conceived, reflecting through the manifesto of the regime they back in the island, is this Colombo-centric ‘State within State,’ to satisfy the Sinhalese and to hoodwink the Tamils, the activists said.

This doesn’t mean that the Rajapaksa regime was any different. The model was originally staged through the Rajapaksa regime. But since the Rajapaksas have become a liability, cosmetic changes were made in the regime to continue with the original plan.

The genocide and on-going genocide of Eezham Tamils was designed by Washington and London, partnered by India and executed by Colombo, which was historically craving for it.

Any Tamil political move that doesn’t educate the people on the truth and doesn't prepare them to face it through a struggle is dishonesty.

The TNA manifesto has failed in orientating the people to make a point in the elections to the crux of the matter, i.e., a direct address to the original designers of the agenda. It has also failed in giving the people an opportunity in the election to prove their wish for international investigation on genocide.

Merely paying lip service to self-determination, homeland, federation and de-militarisation would not work, when original designs pre-determined by the ultimate culprits are different. Such manifestos will only serve to hoodwink the masses to get votes for deceptive or mediocre candidates.

The acid test on TNPF manifesto is now awaited.

Right from 1931, when the colonial British introduced universal enfranchisement under unitary and majoritarian State in the island, Tamils are repeatedly committing the political mistake of succumbing to the pressure of participation but not making any point directly addressed to the edification of the masterminds, the activists said.
