Swedish opposition MPs meet Thamilchelvan

Four Swedish opposition women MPs Monday met the head of the political division of the Liberation Tigers, Mr. S. P Thamilchelvan, for discussions on wide ranging issues. They were accompanied by head of mission of the Embassy of Sweden in Colombo, Mrs. Anne Marie Fallenius, and the UNICEF representative, Mr. Penny Brune, Head of Zone Office, Kilinochchi.

The MPs discussed several issues with Mr. Thamilchelvan, including the current state of the peace process, the Muslim question, recruitment of under age youth, development and rehabilitation in the northeast.

The Swedish MPs, Ms. Cristina Husmark Pehrsson, Ms. Hillevi Engström, Ms. Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth and Ms. Inger René, met Mr. Thamilchelvan at the LTTE peace secretariat in Kilinochchi.
